Teaching Plan

My topic is food chains. I conduct science classes in English for fifth-grade students in primary school four times. Ajarn Jirakan, Kan, Pimjai always help me by explaining in Thai, taking pictures, giving me useful advice and more.

Prepare for lessons

Curriculum

Students study how animals adapt to the environment and the relationships between living organisms and non-living things. They learn step by step. We break the learning content into smaller sections, but it should still flow logically.

Additionally, students will be able to apply what they have learned to real-life situations or other contexts after the class.

From Observation

By observing classes, I get a sense of how lessons proceed and the atmosphere of each classroom. I also become concerned about students' English skills. Classrooms 5/1 and 5/2 are Intensive English classes, while 5/3 and 5/4 are regular classes. In addition to this distinction, their skill levels vary.Above all, observing classes helps me build relationships with students. At the beginning of each lesson, the teacher kindly introduces me, which excites the students.

Lesson Plan

Ajarn Jirakan, Kan and Pimjai are very supportive and encourage me.

Teaching Materials

Kan, Pimjai and I create workboards, worksheets, cards together. The teaching materials are written in both Thai and English.  Kan makes extra sets for me to bring back to Japan. Above all, they should be colorful and illustrative to attract students.

We rounded the corners of each card one by one to prevent children from getting hurt.
