In Japanese elementary schools, students typically sit at their desks, take notes, and listen to their teacher. However, this primary school takes a different approach. Instead of always sitting at their desks, students sometimes sit on the floor while listening to their teacher. They also engage in group activities, forming teams of six or seven members for collaborative work. Classes include various interactive activities, such as group work and games, making learning more engaging.
After classes, students complete workbook exercises, allowing teachers to assess their understanding. Additionally, exams are conducted to evaluate students' knowledge and progress.
In contrast, sixth-grade students take their seats and focus more on lessons to prepare for secondary school. Teaching styles vary depending on the students' grade level, the subject being taught, and the classroom atmosphere.

Activities to engage in class
Elementary school students are very talkative and can easily become noisy during class. Incorporating gaming elements, such as card games or group competitions, helps keep them engaged in the lesson.

In science lesson, students work on various issues. They use a workboard in groups and write down their discoveries on a worksheet. After the class, they submit the worksheet to the teacher.
